Women's Studies center (WSC) has completed the two training programs entitled "Gender Based international development projects design"

Women's Studies center (WSC) at IUG has completed the activities of two training programs entitled "Gender Based international development projects design" within the framework of the APPEAR funded project titled: Strengthening Higher Education Capacities in Palestine for Gender Equality – (SHE_GE). The first training program was attended by 28 representatives of local higher education institutions,  and the second training was attended by 29 representatives  of the civil society organizations in the Gaza Strip.  Each training program was held for over a period of 4 days.

Dr. Khitam Al Sahhar, Director of WSC inaugurated the training programs. She talked about the WSC mission and its main objectives, activities and services. Eng. Amani Al-Mqadma, Head of External Relations Department and the (SHE_GE) member, added more information about  (SHE_GE) project and its outputs and activities.  Moreover, Dr. Suheir Ammar, Head of Architecture department, shared more Information about the training course and its objectives and expected results.


The training was concluded by distributing the certificates to the participants with the presence of Prof. Sanaa Abou-Dagga and (SHE- GE) project team members in addition to Dr. Alyan Al Holy, Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Education, and Dr. Anwar Al-Abadsah, Head of Psychology Department.

The participants expressed their appreciation of the training program and the valuable information they had learned with regard to writing international projects and the use of the appropriate frameworks that address the needs of Palestinian women.
